On December 15^th, 2007 we installed a new computer system.  Learning to do business in a new way always presents some challenges, but we believe this system is proving itself to be beneficial:

Electronic medical records:
We estimate that we will save approximately 10 reams or more of copier paper each month by maintaining our medical records electronically.

You will notice that we have computer work stations in our exam rooms.  Since your pet's medical records are maintained electronically the doctors and staff need easy access to them to make medical notes, look up history and update things like your pet's weight and lab findings!

We also have the ability to store images of your pet including x-rays and photos, enhancing our diagnostic capabilities.

Quicker access to information when you call:
With our paper records, when you call us often we needed to go and get the medical record to reference the information you were requesting.  With our new system the most recent information is available right on the computer screen.
